My Story

On January 19th 2009, I was offered a gift by the universe. That day marked the birth & death of my first child, Ariana Bishop. She passed away only 3 hours after birth.

I was but 23 years of age, nursing her in my arms as her form failed and she submitted to a brutal reality—that she couldn't breathe.  Yet, breathe she did -  a breath of life into me that shall never expire.

 

Everything that pours forth from this wellspring of creation is the exhalation of that breath - my Elan Vitale. My art is a form of spiritual alchemy that has been instrumental in my own healing.

Ari is a sigil - a teaching at this cosmic crossroads. ​​​

nobleXdeer is an Australian interdisciplinary concept artist whose work uses abstraction, symbolism, spoken word, and performance to create psychological and emotional encounters. His work confronts grief, transformation & healing as an embodied practice.

His name is drawn from his South Korean birth name, Yeong Deok - meaning 'Noble Deer'.
