Between Light and Dark

Between Light and Dark occupies a threshold — not a resolution, but a state of suspension.

The work is built through subtraction and drift. Pigment is pulled across the surface, allowing form to emerge through pressure and release rather than construction. Edges remain unsettled. Nothing fully resolves.

A central movement threads through the composition — a soft, coiling passage that neither asserts nor retreats. It suggests continuity without declaring direction, holding the eye in a state of quiet tension.

The surrounding field diffuses into absence. Light is not placed, nor is darkness imposed. Instead, both are implied through their proximity — each defining the other without dominance.

Within the broader body of work, Between Light and Dark sits in the space before articulation. It does not arrive. It lingers.
