Primordia

Primordia explores mark-making at a point prior to language — where gesture functions as transmission rather than communication.

Across the series, forms emerge not as symbols to be read, but as fragments in the process of becoming. Each work begins with a central structure — a contained presence — from which surrounding gestures extend, dissolve, and reconfigure. These movements suggest expansion, echo, and the instability of early expression, where meaning has not yet settled into fixed form.

The works resist resolution. Rather than presenting defined narratives, they operate at an intuitive level, inviting recognition without requiring interpretation. The viewer is not asked to decode the image, but to encounter it directly — as sensation, rhythm, and presence.

Primordia is concerned with the threshold between impulse and language — the moment where something begins to take shape, but has not yet been named.
