Red & Golden

A new work is currently emerging for Playing Chicken With God.

Red & Golden explores the tension between rupture and resurrection — a violent bloom of heat, memory, and transformation suspended inside a darker surrounding void. The piece continues nobleXdeer’s ongoing investigation into grief, spiritual confrontation, and the strange beauty that can emerge through suffering.

Still unfinished, the work is evolving intuitively through layered gesture, glaze, erosion, and response rather than fixed planning. Like much of the broader PCWG body of work, the painting is less concerned with depiction and more concerned with transmission — creating an emotional and psychological encounter rather than a static image.

This piece will form part of the expanding constellation of major works surrounding the central Playing Chicken With God triptych.
