There’s something important about allowing people to witness fragments before they witness the whole. These works are not finished pieces. They are signals. Residue. Early transmissions from a body of work still in the process of revealing itself. At this point, I’m roughly 50 paintings deep into the development of Playing Chicken With God, and the visual language continues to evolve through repetition, erosion, layering, and return.
